Websites for plumbers
People look for a plumber when something's leaking. They want three answers fast: do you cover my area, can you come now, and can I trust you. Your site should answer all three before they scroll.
What a plumber's site needs
A phone number you can tap
Most people find you on their phone, often standing in a wet kitchen. Your number sits at the top of the page and stays there as they scroll, and one tap rings you. Nobody has to hunt for a contact page.
The areas you cover
List the towns and postcodes you actually go to. It saves you calls from people forty miles away, and it tells Google where to show you.
When you're available
Say plainly whether you do emergency call-outs, and when. If you don't do nights or weekends, say that too. A clear "not on Sundays" is better than a missed call.
Before and after photos
A tidy bathroom fit or a neat boiler install says more about your work than a paragraph can. A small gallery of your own jobs beats stock photos every time.
Your Gas Safe number
If you do gas work, your Gas Safe number goes near the top, with a link to the Gas Safe Register so customers can check it themselves. It's the first thing a careful customer looks for.
What I'd recommend
For most one-person plumbing firms: Just you with a gallery, which comes to £65. One page holds your number, areas, hours, Gas Safe number and photos.
If you offer separate services, like boilers, bathrooms and emergency repairs, and want a page for each, go for Starting out. With a gallery it's £115, and it comes with a contact form for quote requests.
What you'd send me
Your phone number, the areas you cover, your hours, your Gas Safe number if you have one, and a few photos of jobs you're proud of. Rough notes are fine. I'll write it up properly.
Let's get you online by tomorrow.
£50, £100 or £200. You see your exact price before you commit to anything.
